Have you missed us?

Howdy folks! Do you by chance remember your faithful blog writers (...us...)?? We are still without internet at home, but today we've trekked up to campus to take advantage of the free wi-fi. We figured that since we're here, we might as well do something productive, (in addition to researching internet providers in the area) and further entertain the masses with our stories, photos, and experiences.

Our carefree summer days are winding quickly to a close as we anticipate the beginning of fall semester classes next week. We're both registered for full-time coursework, in addition to each being scheduled to work 20 hours per week to support our riotous (ha!) living. Add some homework to that, along with our church callings and typical chores, and we are going to be two busy people!

But enough about the future. Here's what we've been up to lately:

We got some new things:
new glasses.

Lisa's new glasses (no pics of Thomas')
new neighbors.
new toys.

fun stuff!
We saw some interesting things:
a VW van/flatbed thingy.
Thomas' friend Seth's new baby.
a small valley filled with satellites.

yeah... we don't know either.
a trailer filled with an alarming amount of antlers.

bizarre....
We celebrated some exciting dates:
Robert's birthday.
Elizabeth's birthday.
Morgan's birthday.
America's wedding.

Congratulations!!
We did some fun activities:
hiked the Y and beyond (Thomas did it twice!!).

Lisa on the Y
Thomas and Lisa beyond the Y!! overlooking Provo and Utah Lake.

Provo temple work with Lisa's cousins (the week before last, we made it 3 times!!).
Backstage Library Works summer party, complete with dinner and a show at the Scera Shell Outdoor Theatre.

Lisa and coworker Shari
Thomas and Lisa
Annie Get Your Gun setup at outdoor theater
dinner at Cracker Barrel.

The place
Lisa's food (the Sampler with green beans, fried okra, and fried apples)
Thomas' food (the Sampler with applesauce, mashed potatoes, and corn)
quick trip to Ikea (for lunch).

We played around at home:
started using our collection of shampoo/conditioner samples.

Yeah. It'll last us for a while.
Thomas created a music stand for Lisa to use while playing violin.

Genius!
enjoyed some tomatoes from our former neighbors' plants.

Tasty!
Gotta run!

  1. As for being busy people, a wise sage once told me that very few people have so much on their plates that they can't fit more onto it. I often fear lest it be the truth...

  2. Fun to read what you've been up to and see the photos :) Any pics of seth's baby? Saki's working more hours-my biggest dilema is what to do with 3 hours when the kids are usually asleep and saki's gone...should I read, clean, sleep, or do something fun, or go down my to do list... hmm did a bit of all but sleep tonight :) love you guys!
